As the operation will be done in narcosis the following medical examinations are necessary: EKG, chest X-ray, laboratory test. On the day of surgery, the patient has to stay one night in the hospital.We can helpfully organize any necessary examinations.
Between 2-6 days after the operation, the drains will be removed depending on the quantity of discharge. The sutures will be absorbed within a few months and the scars will fade and over 1-2 years they will become almost invisible.
Within 24-48 hours after the operation, the patient can remove the cover dressing and can have a shower.
During the first 3 weeks after the operation, the patient must constantly wear a pressure bandage which can be bought in a medical aids shop with our prescription. Weekday clothes perfectly cover this bandage.

We’ll inform you about all risks of anaesthesia during your personal consultation. In order to reduce surgical complications we give antibiotic medicine and an injection (LMWH) before every operation to prevent thrombus during anaesthesia.
